The problem

The people of the UK are losing their patience with politics. They are increasingly disillusioned, disengaged and fed up. As a result, voters tend not to have a clear preference about who they want to win - most people in the UK vote to keep the ‘other lot’ out. This has resulted in decisions that don’t seem to make anyone happy.

Here’s why it doesn’t work - our democratic system ignores people’s opinions and problems for five years, then asks them to pick a team. They vote for a candidate based on who they normally support, a soundbite that a candidate has said that seems to make sense, or a single issue on the agenda at the time. Then, they are ignored for another five years until it happens all over again.

Life’s not that simple.

The solution

Julian Burrett, independent Parliamentary Candidate for the Forest of Dean in the 2024 General Election is building a service that lets you vote on every single Bill passing through the Houses of Parliament. Have a strong opinion on the Access to Radiotherapy Bill? Your vote will count. Passionate about the Parental Bereavement Leave (Statutory Entitlement) Bill? Your vote will count.

When a Bill goes through Parliament, your vote will count.
